Thriller in Willard Fun Run - July 26th

A thrilling drive along Hwy 14 then up into the hills to negotiate hairpin turns, steep climbs, and narrow country roads. Pack a lunch and we'll have a picnic in Willard then on to some even more remote country roads...you might even see some elk.

We'll head back down to Hwy 14 through Underwood which features more twisty fun roads and breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge. We'll retrace our route along Hwy 14 with perhaps a side trip through Carson...then back up over Cape Horn to Vancouver.

We will post a map of the entire planned route here soon.

We will meet up a little before 10 a.m. in the parking lot of the Fred Meyer in Vancouver along Hwy 14. The address is 2500 Columbia House Boulevard, Vancouver Wa

Run Forest Run!
A weekend full of canyon and coastal driving.

OK, this is plenty of time to get your car ready, get time off, get a hall pass if needed, and get your car running right for anyone that wants to go.

August 22 - 25, 2008 head to Arcata, California for a 4 day weekend of unbelievable coastal, canyon, hill, and forest driving

This is not a formal event that requires registration, there is no car show, gymkhana or autocross. There are no communal meals, other than if people make plans to eat together. This is not a DatsunsNW sponsored event. This is not a replacement for Shasta.

This is an unbelievable weekend with some truly amazing drives in one of the most beautiful places in the world. We'll be traversing the state parks of Del Norte County as well as Humboldt Bay.

Don't miss this opportunity. You may never experience roads and scenery like what this will offer. 62 degrees. Sunny. 4 MPH winds. And a sea of Datsuns running through the forests and along the coast. Click here for more details

Event Details

Any club member can register and run in any, or all of the events, Except the tsd, that will be a limited entry so we aren't running all night. Clubs can field more than one "team" but it must be designated in advance, the second team will share the non team bonus points, but it itself will not count towards the club total bonus points

Some changes from last year are the event will have Capacity for 14 cars per team, however each team can only run 10 driver car combinations, and ONLY 2 drivers per car in Autocross and drift, only one car can share one driver in the drags. These changes are to encourage drivers to run in more than one event (limit on team size) and discourage teams from showing up with only one good car and spreading it around ( we had one team last year that wanted to run 4 drivers in one car.)

The pro VS amateur competitions will be determined by driver experience. If a driver has competed in more than 10 autocrosses in the previous 2 years, he or she will be considered "PRO" and asked to compete in the pro class. amateur class is restricted to STREET TIRES only, tread-wear 140 or higher, and must be street licensABLE cars, no full race or stripped cars or "specials". PRO classes run unrestricted by SCCA SOLO2 rules r compounds and slicks are allowed.

See NW Autosports for more info.
